ACT for MS

ACT for MS has become the premier resource for individuals in the Coachella Valley who have been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. We offer clients a variety of programs and services to help them live with MS, its symptoms and debilities by providing the tools and resources necessary to successfully improve their quality of life while living with an incurable medical condition.

Our major client programs include educational seminars and workshops, weekly strength training, exercise and cardiovascular health programs, semimonthly therapeutic and flexible massage, assistance with equipment products designed to improve their safety, mobility and independence, along with a program of providing electric bill payments and air conditioning repairs for our clients who are financially limited. Our goal is a program of quality assistance that makes a meaningful difference to people with MS and their family members. Without ACT for MS, they would not have access to any of the unique approaches that we provide.
ACT for MS has been presenting client programs for about seven years and the number of clients we serve has grown dramatically. Our individualized approach and dedication to local program services for local area clients is our hallmark.

FIND (Food in Need of Distribution)

FIND (Food in Need of Distribution) Food Bank is a proud partner of the nationally known organization “Feeding America.”  For the past 27 years FIND has provided much needed food assistance, nutritional education and basic essential items to those in need in Eastern Riverside and Southern San Bernardino.  We accomplish this through procuring food through our rescue food program, food donations, local farmers initiative “Farm to Family,” USDA, and corporate Food Donations due to our affiliation with Feeding America.  To ensure we acquire all items necessary for our clients and programs, we also purchase items at wholesale prices to fulfill our feeding programs such as Desert Kids Summer Feeding Program, Seniors Brown Bag, and Better Eating Better Health Initiative.  This food is then distributed through our network of 90 plus agencies who represent either a; Food Pantry, After School Care, Summer Children Programs, Soup Kitchen, Homeless Shelter, Senior Program or Adult and Children Agencies.
