The Checkered Flag 200 Club’ To Be Honorees of the 2012 Desert Classic Concours d’Elegance
Rancho Mirage, December 21, 2011 - The 2012 Desert Classic Concours d’Elegance is proud to announce they will be honoring the members of the Checkered Flag 200 Club during their 5th annual event this February 25 – 26, 2012. This prestigious club will be bringing some of the most beautiful vintage cars in the world to showcase at the Westin Mission Hills Resort & Spa in Rancho Mirage for the public to view.
The Checkered Flag 200 Club is the elite membership group of the famed Petersen Automotive Museum and best represents its quest for excellence in the preservation of automotive history, design and engineering.

The Petersen Museum, located at 6060 Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles was founded by the late Robert E. Petersen and is considered to be the premier automotive museum in the United States. The museum features three floors of exhibits and takes an active part in many automotive and educational activities in Southern California. The Desert Classic Concours d’Elegance is a world-class exhibition of rare and vintage cars spanning the history of automotive excellence. The 5th annual Concours d’Elegance will take place on February 26, 2012 at the AAA Four-Diamond rated Westin Mission Hills Resort & Spa in beautiful Rancho Mirage, California, in the heart of the Palm Springs Valley.
The exciting Historic Sports Car races will be held at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway on February 17 – 19, 2012.
